SEROMUCOID, GROUND SUBSTANCE, AND HYPOTHYROIDISM

J Clin Pathol. 1964 Nov;17(6):655-7. doi: 10.1136/jcp.17.6.655.

Abstract

Seromucoid levels were investigated in four patients with primary hypothyroidism. The administration of L-thyroxine produced a significant and sustained rise in seromucoid concentration above normal. Possible reasons for this response are discussed.
