[Nonselective laparoscopic total hysterectomy in the Regional Hospital of Schafhousen, Switzerland during the period 1999-2002 year]

Abstract

The authors of the article share their experience with the total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Started from 1992, today they have worked out a standard operation technique, which is used also for teaching. The data in the article include the period from january 1999 to december 2002, during which are made 244 total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Different parameters are presented and are compared with the study of Makinen, Johansson, Tomas, Kauko from 2001. The authors pay attention to the serious complications and that with the experience--increasing, they reduce significantly. The conclusion is that the total laparoscopic hysterectomy developed into on operation technique, which applied with set purpose can completely take the place of abdominal total hysterectomy.
