Fertil Steril. 2005 Sep;84(3):766-9. doi: 10.1016/j.fertnstert.2005.03.051.

Abstract

In this study, the prevalence of PCOS in Mexican-Americans, derived by self-report of symptoms, was 13%, which is twice the prevalence reported in other populations. Hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp studies showed greater insulin resistance in the women with PCOS.
