Successful coronary intervention for chronic total occlusion using a retrograde approach with biradial arteries

J Invasive Cardiol. 2007 Sep;19(9):E281-4.

Abstract

A retrograde approach is one of the new techniques of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for the treatment of chronic total occlusions (CTO). We present 4 cases of successful PCI for CTO via a retrograde approach using both radial arteries. There were no complications in these cases. We found that, selected cases, a retrograde approach using the biradial arteries in the treatment of CTO appears to be feasible.
