Abstract

Synchronous appearance of bilateral testicular germ cell tumours is a rare clinicopathologic entity. The incidence is estimated to be approximately 1% of all testicular tumours. Synchronous cases of different cell types on each side are extremely uncommon. Until 1987 only seven such patients were reported. We describe an additional case and discuss the diagnostic approach.
