Abstract

Retrograde systolic flow in the main pulmonary artery (PA) is a hallmark echocardiographic sign of patent ductus arteriosus. We describe a case of PA aneurysm mimicking patent ductus arteriosus flow. Using 4-dimensional flow cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, this echocardiographic feature is explained and altered flow dynamics in the aneurysmal PA are visualized.
