Effect of apomorphine infusion on plasma homovanillic acid in normal subjects

J Psychiatr Res. 1986;20(2):131-5. doi: 10.1016/0022-3956(86)90012-9.

Abstract

Previous experiments suggest that pharmacological perturbations of the brain dopaminergic system may be reflected by concentrations of plasma homovanillic acid. This study examined the ability of apomorphine infusion to reduce plasma homovanillic acid concentrations in normal subjects. The data suggests that apomorphine does not reduce plasma homovanillic acid concentration.
