Retinoma associated with vitreous seeding

Am J Ophthalmol. 1995 Apr;119(4):522-3. doi: 10.1016/s0002-9394(14)71246-2.

Abstract

Purpose/methods: Malignant transformation of retinoma to retinoblastoma associated with vitreous seeding has been reported in three patients. We examined two patients with retinomas associated with vitreous seeding who have been followed up for eight years and 33 years.

Results/conclusion: The lesions in both patients have remained stable without signs of malignant transformation. Vitreous seeding alone does not signify malignant transformation of a retinoma.
