Abstract

A 48-year-old woman underwent the closure of ASD. She developed infective mediastinitis with chylomediastinum 14 days after the operation. She received mediastinal debridement and continuous lavage. Two days following mediastinal irrigation, omentopexy and delayed closure of the sternum resulted in satisfactory outcome.
