Simultaneous fracture of the femur and the femoral stem following total hip replacement. A case report

Int Orthop. 1996;20(3):182-4. doi: 10.1007/s002640050059.

Abstract

We describe an apparently unique case of simultaneous fracture of the femoral component of a hip replacement and of the adjacent femur. No similar case has been published in the literature. We suggest a five step plan of operative management.
